Free Florida FAST Math Practice
Florida FAST math practice for grades 3–8 — with worked answers, standards-aligned study plans, complete topic lists, formulas, and free worksheets.
What Is the Florida FAST Math Test?
The FAST (Florida Assessment of Student Thinking) is the official Florida statewide math assessment, administered by the Florida Department of Education to students in grades 3–8 (with end-of-course exams in high school). It measures how well students have mastered the grade-level math standards taught in Florida classrooms, and its results are used for student progress monitoring and school accountability.
The FAST math test is delivered online and mixes several question types — traditional multiple-choice, multi-select (choose more than one), and technology-enhanced or open-response items where students drag, plot, or type in their own answer. An on-screen calculator is available on the designated upper-grade sections, while the lower grades are non-calculator, so it pays to be fluent with mental and written math.
The math tested grows each year: place value, operations, and fractions in grades 3–5; ratios, percents, integers, and beginning algebra in grade 6; proportional reasoning, rational numbers, geometry, and probability in grade 7; and linear equations, functions, exponents, scientific notation, and the Pythagorean theorem in grade 8. Each grade tab below lists the complete topic set so you can see exactly what is covered.
Scores are reported on a scaled score with achievement levels (typically five levels from below to above grade level) that show whether a student is on track. With consistent, targeted practice the FAST is very manageable — pick your grade below to start. For official details, dates, and reporting, see the Florida Department of Education.
