Free DAT Quantitative Reasoning Practice Test (With Answers & Step-by-Step Solutions)
Test your skills with 10 DAT-style quantitative reasoning questions — each with a worked solution — then keep practicing with free worksheets and study books.
What’s on the DAT Quantitative Reasoning Test?
The DAT is the admission test for U.S. dental schools. Its math is the Quantitative Reasoning section, which measures the math skills you need for dental coursework.
The QR section has 40 questions in 45 minutes and covers: algebra (equations, inequalities, exponents), numerical calculations (fractions, decimals, percentages, conversions), probability and statistics, geometry, trigonometry, and applied/word problems.
A basic on-screen calculator is available, so focus on setting up problems quickly and accurately. With ~1 minute per question, pacing matters.
Scoring: the QR section is reported as a standard score from 1 to 30 (about 17 is average; 19–20+ is competitive for many dental programs).
